Shawn Carter is one of the slowest rising stars in comedy.
He started performing in Boston in 2002 and went on to become “Comic in Residence” at The Comedy Studio, a semi-finalist in the Boston Comedy Festival, and the host of the city’s longest-running open mic at Sally O’Brien’s.
He later created the hit comedy debate show Pick a Side Stupid and was featured in The Boston Globe. Shawn’s debut album 100 Problems hit #1 on the iTunes Comedy Chart and reached #7 on Billboard.
After moving to Bristol, Tennessee, he and his wife Sarah opened Blue Ridge Comedy Club in 2021.
His follow-up album, Boston to Bristol (Blonde Medicine), also debuted at #1 and earned airplay on SiriusXM.
Shawn now performs nationwide and is working on a new album about fatherhood, small-town living, and married life.
Shawn has performed in the West End Comedy Festival, Boston Comedy Festival, Cleveland Comedy Festival and Alaska B4UDie Festival
